The face of British Columbia is changing, and it’s changing quickly. The population is growing, aging, and becoming more diverse than ever before.

This is good news – it means we’re living longer, healthier, more active lives. It means that B.C. continues to attract the best and the brightest from across the globe. It also means that we must be prepared to meet these changes head-on in the coming years, for the first time in B.C. history, seniors will outnumber children in the province. The B.C. Government has taken a leading role in planning for this transformation. We’ve engaged in ongoing consultation with seniors and seniors’ organizations so we can focus on their highest priorities. We’re supporting communities and businesses to become more age-friendly.

Together, we can build a stronger, healthier, more age-friendly British Columbia.
